First Nations Artist Phillip Saunders, is a Bunganditj, Gunditjmara and Narungga man from South Australia. Phillip was born in Mount Gambier on Bunganditj country. With strong cultural connections, the tradition of story telling is reflected through Phillip’s work and is a unique expression of contemporary Aboriginal art. It is with ‘tapa lu’ (an open heart) that he shares his art with you on country.
The exhibition opening is from 4:00pm-6:00pm Sunday March 14, with the artwork on display at Bay Blue Espresso until the end of the festival, during their opening hours.

Fringe Mount Gambier acknowledges the Boandik People as the traditional custodians of the land and water our city sits upon today.
We respect and recognise the deep feelings of attachment and the spiritual relationship Indigenous people have with the land and water.
