COVID-19 public statement

The Fringe Mount Gambier Core Planning Team is closely monitoring updates from the Australian Government Department of Health.

FRINGELAND at the Showgrounds on 25 March 2022 is a COVID Management plan event.

The Fringe committee wish to remind all of our attendees that social distancing measures of 1.5 metres between people/household groups must be maintained. COVID Marshalls are in attendance to monitor and encourage social distancing in all areas. In the event that people find themselves in a queued situation at the entry point to an area or trade site, we ask that you practice social distancing in your household groups of no less than 1.5 metres. Hand sanitisation stations are available throughout the grounds and can be identified by signage. Visitors are encouraged to ensure that they regularly wash and sanitise their hands during their visit to the Mount Gambier Fringeland event. Masks must be worn at all times unless eating or drinking. Aggression and abuse of our staff and other attendees will not be tolerated. Anyone presenting signs of aggression or becoming abusive will be removed from the venue. We encourage all attendees to ensure hygiene considerations and social distancing measures are observed. Please contact one of our COVID Marshalls with any queries.

We urge everyone to stay safe, and for the health of the community follow these simple steps;

  1. Stay home when you are sick, except to seek medical care.
  2. Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the bin.
  3. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 10 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  4. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  5. Frequently clean touched surfaces and objects with single-use cloth (e.g. paper towel) and disinfectant.
