Fringe Mount Gambier launches with FRINGELAND on Friday 25 March 2022, before taking you on a tour of various venues throughout Mount Gambier for a week of free and ticketed events.
Roving acts, cabaret, dance, comedy, live music, visual art, magic and more, the city will burst with creative performances and workshops suitable for all ages. Follow @fringemountgambier on facebook for all events, or keep checking on our homepage for updates.
Now in our fourth year, Fringe Mount Gambier has grown to be SA’s largest regional arts festival and the Fringe Mount Gambier team has been busy planning an exciting 2020 experience for you to get amongst from 20 March to 29 March, with over 40 events in over 20 venues.
From the Lift-Off Street Party on Friday 20 March to Fringeland on Saturday 21 March, there’ll be plenty of free entertainment and hands-on art experiences to enable you to play and spark your creative impulses. The launch weekend continues over ten days with a Fringe Mount Gambier celebration of all things art; be sure to check out the massive program of ticketed and free events around Mount Gambier, there’ll be something for everyone!

We’ve had a really exciting response to our call out for volunteers, with individuals and sporting clubs putting up their hands to help out – you’ll see them getting around so give them a pat on the back; they’re going to make a huge difference to the running of the festival this year.
In 2019 the number of artists participating with Fringe Mount Gambier grew and we’re proud to say that 2020 is bigger again, here are some highlights; From the UK, in partnership with Country Arts SA, the Flanagan Collective will take you on a very special ride with Orpheus and Eurydice at Metro Café. The Bamboozled team return with the Little Palais tent full of fun, while MCs Sam McMahon & Tash York keep things on track; there’ll be plenty of music and cabaret excitement at the Limestone Coast Pantry and big laughs at our comedy hub, the Mount Gambier Hotel. Top-notch roving artists will interact with you at Lift Off and Fringeland and three Mount Gambier artists have curated an innovative dance, visual arts and music program with Experience Fringe. The Fringeland mainstage will host some of Australia’s best, with headliners DRMNGNOW and WERK It! set to thrill – we can’t wait!
Fringe Mount Gambier is an open-access arts festival that welcomes anyone with an arty urge to dip their toe or dive right on in; we’re now firmly on the calendar for visiting and local artists. What really excites us is that you, the community, are heading out and supporting them; that tells us here at Fringe Mount Gambier that we’re on the right track.
On Friday, March 20 we flick the arts switch on in Mt Gambier, so ‘Fringify’ your diary in March – this is your festival.
